Introduction
From around 750BC to 12 BC, the Celts were the most powerful people in central and northern Europe. Celts were divided into groups (or sometimes known as tribes) across the continent and spoke the same language with slight differences in dialects, as well as sharing similar technologies, customs and beliefs. All the art works that were created were similar in style and sometimes reflected religious beliefs e.g. different Gods. Different Celtic traditions and customs evolved at different times and in different places as there was never one single Celtic nation or lifestyle. Various Celtic traditions or designs originated from other European people such as the Greeks, Etruscans and Romans. The Celtic civilization evolved and flourished throughout Europe, ranging from the British Isles to the boarders of Ukraine.
